Get the details on the new Broadway Market and its tenants.
The team responsible for the Stanley Marketplace is opening a food hall in Denver’s Capitol Hill neighborhood. Broadway Market, which was originally supposed to open in the summer of 2018, is nearly ready to open its doors. It will be located in a 15,000-square-foot space that was once a Tony’s Market location.
“It’s so important to open this correctly,” said Mark Shaker, founder of the Stanley Marketplace. “We have a couple of different technology solutions that we’re putting in place, and we’re just making sure everything’s ready to go.”
The new food hall is scheduled to open on February 15 at 950 Broadway. The food hall has already passed its health inspection, and Shaker said it’s ready to open, but the team is allowing ample time for a flawless first day.
Broadway Market is experimenting with a system that allows customers to pay for food and beverages with a meal card. “When you come in, you’ll swipe your credit card and get a Broadway Market card, which you can use throughout the facility — whether at the bar or at one of our food concepts,” Shaker said. “That way you’re not making six or seven transactions since we have 13 different concepts in there.”
Customers will be able to try flavors from around the world, from sushi to noodles to pressed juices, and bring their purchases to a central eating area. Tenants will include Miette e Chocolat, Little Noodle Pasta Co., Mondo Market, Misaki, Maria Empanada, Wonder, Pizzeria Coperta, Biju’s Little Curry Shop, and more.
Part of the preparation involves getting each shop ready to use the new system. Shaker said they’re taking the time to make sure customers have a seamless experience when they visit Broadway Market. “Nobody wants to open faster than we do — we wanted to be open months ago — but it’s better to do it right than speed to the finish line.”
