It’s that time of year again for lights, lights, and more lights! Get yourself ready for city light celebrations galore. Check out our list below for those that are nearest you, and get out there and enjoy the sparkle of the season!

November 2018 City Light Celebrations

Castle Rock Star Lighting Ceremony
When: November 17

Dating all the way back to 1936, Castle Rock comes together for this historic starlighting ceremony. Downtown will have tons of activities, live music, and much more (including the jolly man in red, himself)!

Downtown Boulder’s Switch on The Holidays
When:
Nov. 18

Rock out to live music, and help Boulder bring in the holiday season at the Switch on the Holidays event. The event will see the grand illumination of the street, courthouse, and star on Flagstaff Mountain.

Catch The Glow Holiday Celebration and Evening Parade – Estes Park
When:
 Nov. 23

Why not celebrate the holidays in true mountain town style? Check out the Catch the Glow celebration and parade in Estes Park the day after Thanksgiving. Carolers, hay rides, pony rides, and so much more will be on hand to kick off the season.

Glenwood Springs – Hotel Colorado Illumination
When:
November 23

More than one million lights go into bringing the historic Hotel Colorado to life during the holiday season. Stop by for entertainment, Santa, lights, and a craft show. Oh, and stick around for the annual fireworks.

Grand Illumination – Denver
When:
 Nov. 23

Catch beautiful lighting displays in the LoDo District and Denver Union Station. Enjoy the holiday cheer by stopping into one of the many local businesses, then watch as Union Station lights up the night with holiday colors.

Light the Lights – Denver
When:
Nov. 23

Head downtown to bring the holidays in traditional style. The light switch will flip between 6:30-7 p.m. light up the City and County Building in brilliant hues. Bring hats, scarves, gloves to donate to the Giving Tree, as well.

Pueblo Parade of Lights
When:
 Nov. 24

Enjoy a holiday tradition Pueblo-style at the Parade of Lights. Nearly 100 lighted floats, cars, and much more will cruise down the parade route. And it’s all topped up with Santa who will cheerily visit with the kids.

Greeley Lights the Night Parade
When:
Nov. 24

Get there early to get the best viewing spot of the parade of lights. Then, gather in Lincoln Park for festive caroling and a tree light-up ceremony.

Leadville Parade of Lights
When: 
Nov. 30

Bring in the holiday cheer in one of Colorado’s highest-elevation towns! Catch floats, the Claus family, and the local businesses’ holiday decorating contest!

Golden Light the Lights
When:
Nov. 30

Enjoy a Candlelight Walk and end up at the Light the Lights ceremony along Clear Creek. As an added bonus, there will be a small firework display to cap off the evening’s festivities.

9news Parade of Lights – Denver
When:
Nov. 30 (8 p.m.) and Dec. 1 (6 p.m.)

The best light show in town happens during Denver’s Parade of lights. Lights galore, floats, bands, and so much more will help you ring in the season.

December 2018 City Light Celebrations

Colorado Springs Festival of Lights Parade
When:
Dec. 1

Everyone comes out to celebrate at this Colorado Springs’ tradition. For 33 years, floats, bands, horses, and the jolly guy himself have made their way down the downtown parade route.

Santa makes an appearance in Colorado Springs.

Grand Junction Parade of Lights
When:
Dec. 1

Take in more than 100 lighted floats, performers and more at Grand Junction’s 30-year-old holiday parade. Show up early for the Winter Festival to get your hands on local holiday crafts and goodies.

Lakewood Lights
When:
 Dec. 2 and 3

It’s family friendly fun at this Lakewood event! Hayrides, museum tours, thousands of lights, photos with Santa, and more await you!

Lighting of Breckenridge
When:
Dec. 8

Timeless holiday carols, the Race of the Santas, cookies and hot cocoa, and trees will be lit in this fun holiday celebration. Go into cuteness overload at the Bernese Mountain Dog Parade, and take the kids to meet with Santa.

Vail Holiday Tree Lighting
When:
December 16

Hot cocoa, good old St. Nick, children singing … what more could you ask for after a day on the slopes?

Night of Lights in Gunnison
When:
Dec. 22

Why not drink some hot cocoa and warm yourself by the bonfires of Gunnison’s holiday celebration? There will be an art walk and live entertainment to keep the whole family happy.

Christmas Eve Torchlight Parade – Telluride
When:
Dec. 24

Watch the slopes of Telluride Resort light up as almost 100 employees take to the snow and illuminate the mountainside. It’s a fun Christmas Eve tradition, and you might even catch a glimpse of the man in red himself!
