These Brunches Are a Hearty Precursor to a Sunday-Afternoon Dad Nap

Father’s Day is nearly upon us! Treat your dad to a hearty Father’s Day brunch at one of these local spots that’ll have him full and sated in time for an afternoon nap.

Rioja

For a dad who loves Mediterranean-style food, Rioja’s brunch includes fresh bacon, unique omelets, lamb burgers, and Rioja’s twist on Eggs Benedict. Be sure to treat Dad to one of their cocktails like the ‘Wake Up Call,’ made with Dickel Rye, Averna, Grand Marnier, and cold brew.

Pizza Republica

This Italian eatery has a menu stocked with classic brunch favorites with an Italian twist. Limoncello pancakes, ciabatta French toast, polenta and eggs, mamma mia! Here, Dad can choose from the unique lineup of libations such as an Arrabiata Bloody Mary.

Del Frisco’s Grille

Cherry Creek’s Del Frisco’s Grille has a delectable brunch menu which offers a wide array of choices that any father can appreciate. Dishes such as the fried egg sammie, southern fried chicken and waffles, and Red Velvet Belgian waffles.

Tamayo

As one of the best Mexican restaurants in Denver, Tamayo is celebrating dads with complimentary bottomless drinks, great vibes, and more. For $39, you can treat Dad to endless small plates and other unlimited brunch goodies like the Tamayo Benedict or Short Rib Flautas.

Viewhouse

This is quite possibly the ultimate dad brunch. With meat carving stations, seafood towers, build-your-own omelets and waffles, and jalapeno cornbread, your Pops will be in hog heaven.

If brunch isn’t Dad’s thing, you can treat him nicely on Father’s Day by doing one or all of the following:

  • Be quiet. This man works hard, so give him a little P&Q.
  • Don’t touch the thermostat. Consider this your home’s version of No Man’s Land.
  • Let him have the remote the entire day.
  • Propane tank running low on the grill? Offer to take it to have it refilled.
  • Cut the grass.
  • Get him a new pair of white New Balance tennis shoes.
  • Give him a hug and tell him you love him. To be quite honest, you should do this every chance you get.
