After an 18-year hiatus, the Nickelodeon game show of our youth is back! If you think YOUR kids could compete in the typical Double Dare challenges, here’s how to make their (your) dreams come true!

I used to think I had what it took to compete on Double Dare — trivia, messy physical challenges, and prizes? You betcha! I stared longingly at larger-than-life bowls of spaghetti or the kiddie swimming pools filled with whipped cream — every kid’s dream — and imagined the day when I’d finally make it big.

And if you felt the same way, then perhaps you can live vicariously through your kiddos! The reboot of Double Dare will debut on Nickelodeon this summer, and we’ve got all the info on how to submit your audition!

Producers are looking for two-person teams of kids, ages 10–14, who already know each other (siblings, cousins, friends, classmates, etc.!). They’re also looking to cast family teams of two adults and two kids (ages 10–14), as well as two-person teams involving one adult and one kid (age 10–14).

Each team must be available for filming in Los Angeles for two consecutive days in June.

How to Audition

The good news is, you don’t have to travel anywhere to audition! Thanks to the internet, the casting call is much simpler than it was in the ’80s and ’90s.

Just set up an account at MysticArt Pictures, click on “Now Casting,” then select the green Double Dare box to start the application process. The application is your “audition,” so upload as many pictures and videos and as much info about your potential Double Dare stars as you possibly can! (I already created an account and walked myself through the process just to see how it worked!)

There’s no audition deadline listed yet, but since filming for all 40 episodes will take place in June, I suggest you get busy! If you’re already planning a summer trip to California, then I don’t know why you wouldn’t apply! It’s worth a shot, right?
