Technology is constantly changing. And three Colorado startup companies have their eyes set on the future with gadgets that are straight out of science fiction.

We’ve all dreamed of butler robots and flying cars. For a long time, that technology just didn’t seem obtainable. Until now … Three Colorado startups are making those dreams a reality.

Security Robots

Lakewood-based Gamma2 Robotics is one of the first companies in the United States to create a security robot. The autonomous robot, Ramsee, is equipped with laser radar and toxic gas sensors, among other things. Ramsee has been designed to take over the graveyard security shifts that would typically go to guards and law enforcement officers. You can learn more about Ramsee on Gamma2 Robotics’ website.

Flying Motorcycle

Based in Denver, Apollo Flight Labs have created the Apollo JetBike, the world’s first jet engine-powered flying motorcycle. It can reach up to a speed of 100 miles per hour and a height of 10,000 feet! I can already imagine a day where the JetBike and the Hyperloop are a normal part of how we travel in Colorado.

Watch the video below to see the JetBike in action!

Smart Chairlifts

Alpine Media Technology, which is based in Centennial, has solved the problem of those awkward chairlift conversations with the Super Gauge Express. A multi-panel sits across the restraint bar and allows for skiers and snowboarders to look at displays of runs, the forecast, lift closures, and more. Alpine has plans to install between 4,000 to 6,000 of the displays in 10 different resorts across the country.

Are there other companies around Colorado that are making huge strides in technology? Share them with us in the comments below.
