Celebrities are used to being the center of attention, but on November 12 a group of A-listers made sure someone else got the spotlight.

In Denver on Saturday, the Be Beautiful Be Yourself Fashion Show took the spotlight at the Hyatt Regency Denver at Colorado Convention Center. The event paired Hollywood stars and professional athletes with models with Down Syndrome, and the models stole the show!

Well-known celebrities like Queen Latifah, Hilary Swank, Matt Dillon, and Peyton Manning joined together for the largest fundraiser for Down Syndrome in the country, held right here in downtown Denver. At the show, Frank Stephens was awarded the Quincy Jones Exceptional Advocacy Award. Frank is an active spokesperson for the Global Down Syndrome Foundation and a member of the Board of Directors of Special Olympics Virginia.

To date, this event has raised more than $12 million and attracted 1,200 guests. Stars from all across the board attended to show their support in a multitude of ways. Model Amanda Booth provided advice to the models on how to work the runway. Actor and Global Down Syndrome Foundation spokesperson John C. McGinley, who has a son with Down Syndrome, stated that he’s excited to watch the Be Beautiful Be Yourself event continue to grow.
