Outdoor film at Sloan’s Lake – August 26, Denver
The Alamo Draft House Cinema is bringing you a free screening of Jack Black’s School of Rock at Sloan’s Lake. This is a great Colorado weekend event for the whole family. Before the movie plays, check out performances by School of Rock Denver and Davey B. Gravey’s Tiny Cinema. This is a great event for the whole family, especially for those little ones feeling the first-few-weeks-of-school blues. Food vendors, face painters and character artists will also be around to make the night more fun and family friendly. Everything starts at 17th and Stuart at 5 pm – the film will begin at dusk.
Festival of Felines – August 27, Denver
Meeeeeeow. Cat lovers all over Colorado, grab your kitty and gather at the Cat Care Society shelter at 5787 West Sixth Ave from 11 am to 2 pm. The Festival of Felines was created to celebrate our furry feline companions and raise some money. Explore the kitty cat gallery, filled with rotating artwork for sale, paw through the homemade crafts, and meet the CCS Painted Cat Mascot, Sue Sioux. There is tons of fun to be had at this Colorado weekend event. Furthermore, all proceeds from this event will be going straight to benefit shelter cats.
National Parks Are FREE! – August 25 through 28 – All over America

Colorado State Fair – August 26 through September 5 – Pueblo
